Champagne Castle Hotel and Resort is located in the Central Drakensberg (halfway between Johannesburg and Durban). It’s nestled below the third highest peak in South Africa, Champagne Castle (3377m), within the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg mountain range, the highest mountain range in South Africa. Due to its diversity of plant, bird, insect & animal life and the richest collection of San rock paintings in Africa, it has been declared a Mixed World Heritage Site.

Situated within the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg World Heritage Site, this 4-star hotel is surrounded by landscaped gardens and overlooks the Drakenberg Mountains. It includes a large pool, hiking trails, trout fishing, a games room, a restaurant and bar, horse & pony rides, an animal farm & a fitness & wellness centre.

All rooms, suites and chalets at Champagne Castle Hotel have a private patio. They also come with a satellite TV and tea/coffee facilities.

Spacious and luxuriously appointed rooms with a partial mountain view. These double-storey Deluxe Family Rooms consist of a main upstairs bedroom with a king size bed, bath, shower, and private patio.

The second downstairs bedroom has twin beds, either bath or shower and a private patio. Two of these deluxe family rooms have wheelchair access. Can only accommodate 4 people.

Self-Catering Chalets

The rate quoted is for a maximum of 6 people. No meals included.

Luxurious Mountain facing 6 sleeper self-catering chalets, suitable for 4 adults and 2 children. The self-catering chalets consist of a lounge-dining-room-kitchen, two private bedrooms, an open plan loft bedroom suitable for two children and 2 or 3 bathrooms. The Lounge has a fireplace while the private patio, overlooking the magnificent Champagne Castle has a Weber braai, table and chairs. The chalets are fully equipped, have limited DSTV. Please note that crockery, cutlery, furnishings etc. are only provided for six people.
